Announcements

Week of November 9

We have completed Book 2 of our reading series. YAY! We are “ moving and
grooving” our way through 1st grade. When I meet with the students daily in
our small groups, I can really see how much their reading is progressing!
***Note: The reading and spelling choices for Unit 3 have changed. Don’t
forget to have your child complete the reading activity on the reading
homework on Tuesday nights.
For the next two weeks, we will be discussing the traditions and history of
Thanksgiving. We will be making a Native American costume the week before
we get out for our break. Each student will need 1 plain, tan pillowcase to
make their special costume. You may
begin sending these in at any time, but we will need them by
Wednesday, November 19. Please have it labeled with their name.
** Don’t forget that the Thankful project (graded) is due
November 10!
