Math: Multiplication continues!! This week we will review all factors.
Students need to begin memorizing the multiplication facts (0, 1, 2, and
3's). We will work on multiplication and division fact families.
Reading: The class will read Molly's Pilgrim over the next two weeks. We will
practice comprehension strategies in small groups. Vocabulary words are
immigrant, Cossack, tenement, synagogue, pilgrim, Yiddish.
Language: Students will identify and use present, past, and future tense
verbs in their writing. In writer's workshop, we will be writing personal
narratives.
Science: This week we will study early settlers of LA as well as customs and
traditions. There will be a unit test on LA settlers on Friday 11/20/09.

**The students have a homework notebook with their vocabulary words and
spelling words. Any written homework should be done in this notebook.
** Students should start reviewing addition and subtraction facts each night.

** Students can bring a healthy snack for the morning. Also, students can
bring a water bottle to keep at their desk.
