Week of 12/1/08
Math: We will continue to study multiplication and division this week. Be
sure to study your multiplication facts each night.
Language: Our skill this week will be identifying and using action verbs in
sentences. We will also write a persuasive letter this week. There will be a
test on parts of a letter on Thursday(12/4/08) and on verbs next Tuesday
(12/9/08).
Reading: Our story is Stone Soup. The vocabulary words are
guests, banquet, agreeable, curiosity, untrusting, & gaze.
Social Studies: We will begin to study early settlers of Louisiana. This
week we will focus on Native American tribes that once lived in what is now
present day Louisiana.
