I've been teaching for 22 years, and I've been at Mandeville since 1992. I
graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1986 with a B.S. in Biology
and a minor in Education. I received an M.Ed. in Educational Administration
from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2004.
I am certified to teach Biology, Physical Science and Earth Science. I am
also certified to be a secondary school administrator.
I love my job and I look forward to coming to school every day. Really... I
do. Seriously --- I'm not kidding. I have the best job in the world.
CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS:
I sponsor both Science Club and Hi-Y.
Science Club meets on Wednesday mornings at 7:15 in my room, 805.
Science Club is active both academically (Science Bowl and Science Olympiad)
and in community service (Beach Sweep and Parish-wide Recycling Day).
Hi-Y meets Tuesday nights from 7 to 8 pm in the MHS Library. Hi-Y is
affiliatd with the YMCA. Its goal is to interest Louisiana's youth in
government and how government works. Hi-Y offers students the opportunity to
develop skills in both public speaking and debating. We participate every
year in both Model United Nations and Louisiana Youth Legislature.
Everyone is welcome in both clubs.
To make my students lifelong learners.
