Below I have listed materials needed for the first semester studio
classes I teach. Look for these various materials listed below at
Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Dollar Tree, Walgreens and any other discount
stores.
Michaels craft store will have all of these things as well. Please
look for the Michael's coupons in the Sunday paper. The discount
coupon is generally 40% off the normal prices. Hobby Lobby is also a
good place to look for art materials.l The
students will receive the same list of materials upon entering class
on their first day. Students may be asked to purchase other things
for their classes during the year. There is also a $5.00 art fee for
each art class.You may pay the art fee and purchase sketchbooks at
one time with a single payment of cash or check for $10.00. checks
should be made out to MHS, OR you may make an online payment through
the http://www.stpsb.org/ and click on PaySchools to pay the art
fee. Sketchbooks cannot be purchased through PaySchools.
Introduction to Drawing and Design (Art 1A)
Sketch book at least 11X14- (art department will have sketchbooks
for sale for $5.00.)
One large sheet of poster board for a portfolio.
Scissors
White eraser or gum eraser
3 drawing pencils (4H, 2B, 6B) (these will be for sale in the art
room)
3 regular #2 pencils
set of color pencils-12 color
2 black roller ball or gel pens
12 inch ruler

3 Wide plastic containers with tight lid that seals to use as a
storage container for mixing and storing paint.
