About The Teacher

I have been teaching at Mandeville HIgh School since 1994 and hold
a bachelor's degree in Art Education from Arizona State University in Tempe
and a M.Ed. in Art from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I am
originally from the East Coast. I moved to Mandeville in 1993 with my husband
and two children. My oldest son attends LSU and my youngest is a junior at
MHS.

I am a landscape painter and have exhibited in various art shows in
Massachusetts, as well as within the Mandeville community. I am a member of
the National Art Education Association and the St. Tammany Art Association.
I am one of four art teachers at Mandeville High school and also the Head of
the Fine Arts Department.

I also teach an online studio art class through the A3 virtual school.

Together with Mr. Batiste, the Industrial Arts teacher, I sponsor the Junior
Class and coordinate the Junior/Senior Prom and Senior ring ceremony.

Mission For The Class

To encourage each student to reach beyond with his/her senses, imagination,
intellect and feeling.
