About the Counselors

Mr. Esker, Senior Counselor

Mr. Sean Esker has been the senior guidance counselor at Mandeville High 
School since 2003.  He has a bachelor's degree from Tulane University and a 
master's degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College.  Mr. Esker is a National 
Certified Counselor and a National Certified School Counselor.  He is also a 
certified social studies teacher.

Mr. Esker taught social studies and served in the guidance department at 
Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans from 1996 to 2003 prior to arriving at 
Mandeville High School.

Mr. Esker is the varsity girls' soccer coach.  He holds a C license from the 
US Soccer Federation, a National Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches' 
Association of America (NSCAA), and the Goalkeeping Level II Diploma from the 
NSCAA.  Mr. Esker has been named state Coach of the Year twice, Metro Coach 
of the Year twice, and District Coach of the Year six times.

Mr. Esker is married to Sabrina.  They have two children.

Mr. Yeadon, Sophomore Counselor

Mr. Richard Yeadon has served as a counselor at Mandeville High School since 
1991.  He has a bachelor's degree from Loyola University in New Orleans and a 
master's degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College.  He is also a certified 
social studies and science teacher.

Mr. Yeadon has previously taught at L.W. Higgins High School and worked as a 
counselor at Archbishop Rummel High School before coming to Mandeville.  Mr. 
Yeadon is the former boys' soccer coach at MHS.  His 1996 team won the 
Division I Boys' Soccer state championship.

Mr. Yeadon is married to Sandy.  They have a son who is a student at LSU.

Mrs. Weileman, Freshman Counselor

Mrs. Courtney Weileman has served as freshman counselor at Mandeville High 
School since 2007.  She has a bachelor's degree from the University of 
Southern Mississippi and a master's degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross 
College.  She is a National Certified School Counselor.

Mrs. Weileman previously worked as a counselor at Mount Carmel Academy in New 
Orleans before joining the MHS faculty.  She is the sponsor of SADD (Students 
Against Destructive Decisions) and works with the Freshman Initiative.

Mrs. Weileman is married to Rocky.  They have one daughter.
