1. Locate internet sources for research on survivor of and events surrounding disaster as described in Unit 2 Research Assignment
2. Those in teams, decide needs and process to procure correct sources and information
****Each source must have a copy of print information(copier print for library print sources and computer printout for internet/Galenet sources)

Day 2:

2. View Paraphrase Powerpoint
3. Quote, paraphrase, summarize from "Blowup..."
4. Review Nonfiction Powerpoint-notes
5. Overview rubric for Unit 2 Research Project

Day 3:

4. Teacher model graphic organizer using quotes related to literary elements

DAY 1:

4. Complete discussion of "There Will Come Soft Rains"

Day 2:
1. Test on TWM 
2. Introduce vocabulary for next story 
3. Students complete practice with vocabulary

Day 3:
1. Collect Extended Metaphor essay
2. Journal: Introductory question on p.51, reading workbook
3. Pairs brainstorm about and define evil, then share
4. Review characterization and irony
4. Students read "The Possibility of Evil"p. 53-62 and answer all questions including Reading Comprehension questions p. 63 and the characterization chart p. 64. Complete at home what is not finished.

Day 4: 
1. Bellringer
2. On Friday, periods 1, 3, 4, 7 go to English Lab to begin day one working on Student Performance Task
3. Other classes complete checking and discussing questions on short story 
and groups identify and illustrate examples of each type of irony in the story to present to class

Day 5: Complete unfinished tasks
