I was born and raised here in Mandeville and graduated from Mandeville
High School in 1987. I have been teaching and coaching since 1992 and
returned to MHS as an instructor and coach in 2000. I currently teach
Emergency Medical Responder, Health Science I and Forensic Science. I
also coach Track & Field and am one of the Wrestling sponsors.
I earned my BS in Biology Ed. with a minor in Chemistry from Southeastern
Louisiana University in 1992. I went on to earn a Master's Degree from the
University of Southern Mississippi in Biology Ed. with specialization in
Forensic Science in 1998. In 2003 I became certified by the
Louisiana Bureau of EMS as a BLS and First Responder Instructor and became a
National Registry Emergency Medical Technician in 2008. My Louisiana
teaching certifications include: Biology, Chemistry, General Science, and
Gifted Special Education. I also hold teaching certifications issued by the
Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Bureau of Emergency Medical
Services in Emergency Medical Responder and Emergency Medical Technician
(HSL). In addition, I am an American Heart Association certified Basic Life
Support instructor.
I have three quadruped children, two cats and one dog. My two cats, Max
Tomas and Abbie Gale are both rescue cats from the St. Tammany Parish Humane
Society. I have a beautiful white and red English Bulldog named Molly-brown
and she is truly a character. She absolutely loves to come to school.
Unfortunately, she was expelled from MHS in 2006. She was so sad
when I broke the news to her. Molly is hoping to gain supporters for
her "Bring Back Molly-brown" campaign. MHS BRING BACK THE BROWN! :-)
GEAUX SKIPPERS, GEAUX TIGERS, & GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!
Be the difference you wish to see in the world.
