~To provide study skill strategies and techniques in a small group setting to help students
to compensate for learning difficulties
~To facilitate the development of organizational and goal-setting skills.
OBJECTIVES:
I. Development of organizational skills (students are required to keep a daily planner)
II. Goal-Setting (students will complete an action plan for completing a goal in the 1st 9 weeks)
III. Development of study skill strategies and techniques to used in content classes
* Introduction to study skills
* Note-taking
* Listening skills
* Previewing reading materials and assignments
* Preparing for tests
* Preparing written reports
