<DIV>If you would like to be involved in extracurricular activities here at Mandeville Jr. High and you have great ideas to contribute to our school, then come join the student council.  <STRONG>ANYONE CAN JOIN!</STRONG>  You don't have to be voted in to be in the student council.  Just make sure that you can make a committment to come to the meetings....we need you.  </DIV>

<DIV><STRONG><U>When do we meet?</U></STRONG>  </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>If you missed the first meeting, you can still join student council; it's not too late, just come to the rest. </DIV>
<DIV>Our meetings are every Tuesday after school until 3:30 in my room, #208.  If you are already involved in after school activities on Tuesdays, this might not be the place for you.  </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><U>What do we do?</U></STRONG></DIV>
<UL>
    <LI>We run the MJH Student Store; only student council members get to work in the store!</LI>
    <LI>We use the money we make in the student store to make school improvements; only student council members get to vote on these issues.</LI>
    <LI>We run the annual slipper drive for local nursing homes.</LI>
    <LI>We have fun parties and activities. </LI>
</UL>
<DIV>Come join the MJH Student Council to have fun, make new friends, meet new people, work hard, and be a contributing member of our school.  I hope to see returning council members from last year as well as some new 7th grade faces. </DIV>
