READING: SSR READ AND RESPOND
This week students begin reading Devil's Arithmetic. After each section read
there will be a quiz. Students are to answer the study guide questions
because the quizzes are based on the questions. There will be vocabulary
tests for each section of the novel. The first vocabulary test is Tuesday on
10 words. If you are absent, check out a novel and read at home. You must
keep up with the reading. Your reading exam will be on the novel Devil's
Arithemtic.
ENGLISH: DOL
This week students will finish up pronouns. There will be final pronoun test
on Thursday. We will also check Unit 8 in Vocabulary with a test on
Wednesday.
We will go back to the library March 5 for the final hour to work on the
Holocaust Performance Task. At that time all projects should be finished.
Presentation begins the week of exams which start on March 5. That is the
reading exam day.
**Leap essay writing is March 20.

Student will view Anne Frank movie and complete an evaluation sheet. A
review sheet will be completed in preparation for Anne Frank test on Thursday.
Yiddish terms sheet will be given for novel Devil's Arithmetic.
ENGLISH: DOL/PROOFREADING
Students will continue to work on pronoun unit. Unit 8 vocabulary will
begin. The unit is due Friday with a test the following week.
**Make sure you bring in your notecards with the information for the
performance task. You will be required to present the completed notecards
and outline before you start your power point.***
**Don't forget to bring in permission slip and $2.00 for the MHS visit.
**Your final typed draft of narrative essay was due last week.***
