Applications for enrollment at NSU Elementary Lab are accepted year-round. Your child will be placed on a waiting list for their current grade level. You will be notified if a position becomes available. Please be certain to attach recent test scores and/or report cards, as well as documentation to verify your address, such as a utility bill.
While you do not need to complete a new application each year, we do ask that you update your application on a yearly basis with your child's most current information, including a recent report card and test scores. Applications that have not been updated, or incomplete applications may not be given consideration. We have a limited enrollment, with 2 section per grade, grades K - 5. Our small population necessitates a waiting list. We keep our enrollment at maximum capacity, filling positions from our waiting list as current students un-enroll, both during the summer months and during the school year.
Tuiton is $1500 for the first child, per school year. Additional siblings are granted a reduced tuition amount of $1000 per year. A yearly supply fee of $100 is due at enrollment. This supply fees pays for all of the student's school, technology and art supplies for the entire school year.
Priority Status is given to children who have at least one parent employed full-time at Northwestern State; and/or to any child who has a sibling already attending a NSU Lab School.
KINDERGARTEN - Applications for Kindergarten are accepted the year prior to attendance and a Kindergarten Draw (blind lottery) will be held in the Spring. All applications must be received by March 23, 2012 in order to be considered for Kindergarten enrollment. A student must turn 5 by September 30, 2012, in order to be eligible to attend Kindergarten. Results will be mailed during the week of March 26, 2012.
