ACADEMIC COMMON MARKET
If a public institution in Louisiana does not offer a degree
program in your field of study, it may be possible to arrange a
waiver of out-of-state tuition for you to pursue that program at
a cooperating public institution of higher education in another
state. The states which have agreed to this arrangement together
form the Academic Common Market.
Currently,ACM-participating states are: Alabama, Arkansas,
Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi,
Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
OUT- OF- STATE TUITION WAIVERS?

Test fees can be a barrier to college entrance for some students.
Fee waivers are available to help these students pay for the ACT.

FEDERAL STUDENT AID INFORMATION

About 600 schools nationwide (including Tulane & Xavier) require
students to fill out the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE to determine
eligibility for non-federal forms of financial aid. This form is
more detailed than the FAFSA and will ask a lot of questions
about your family's assets.
Also, unlike the FAFSA, there's a cost associated with the
PROFILE; there is a fee for filing online and you'll pay for
every school to which you have the results sent. TULANE and
XAVIER require the PROFILE.
