I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2001 with a Masters
Degree. I am a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
(ASHA). I obtained national certification to practice speech language
pathology. I live in Zachary and am married. I have 2 wonderful children who
attend Zachary schools. My youngest daughter is in pre-k at the ZELC and my
oldest daughter is at Zachary Elementary in 2nd grade. I identify with
parents who have children with needs. Both my children were born 6 weeks
premature. Ava needed occupational and physical therapy as an infant and
toddler and Julia was in need of SPEECH THERAPY. Children will do for others
what they won't do for their parents!! I am here to help your children
develop their speech and language skills. These skills include: articulation
(mispronouncing sounds), langauge (comprehension, basic concepts and grammar,
phonolgical awareness (letters and the sounds they make and basic reading
skills), stuttering (repeating sounds, words or phrases during conversational
speech)and voice disorders such as vocally abusive behaviors which cause
vocal nodules. This is just a brief discription of my job. If you have any
questions and have concerns reguarding your child's development in these
areas. Please fell free to contact me at Northwestern Elementary. I am here
to help.
