About The Teacher

I graduated from LSU School of music and have taught elementary vocal music
for 30+ years! I am married and have two sons. I use the Orff/Kodaly system in
my teaching which involves using the whole body to learn music. I am energetic
and like fun-filled lessons with lots of movement. I LOVE to write, direct,
and choreograph my own musical productions. I enjoy creating, decorating,
and love attending every musical and drama production in the Baton Rouge area!
But my greatest love, my heart's song..... is children!

Mission For The Class

The mission for my class will be to learn and enjoy all elements of music
while also learning songs and activities that reinforce classroom units of study.
