I am so excited to be teaching your child this year. Let me tell you a
little about myself. I am married with one ten-year old daughter.(She
attended our Pre-K program here, so I know on a personal level how great our
pre-k is!) I love children, animals, gardening and reading. I have lived in
the Baton Rouge area for about 13 years. I was born and raised
in Natchitoches, LA. and graduated from Northwestern State University where
I attended on a four-year Pennzoil scholarship along with a few other
scholarship awards.
On a professional note, this is my 15th year teaching. My degree is in
Early Childhood Education. This is my 7th year teaching Pre-K. I taught
kindergarten previously in EBR at Bellingrath Hills Elementary. I was
honored there with the title of Teacher of the Year and went on to be
recognized as one of the top five finalist in elementary education in EBR in
2001. But, my greatest honor and reward comes from all the little children
who I have had the pleasure to love and teach!! They are and will always be
so special to me!!!
Our mission for our class is: To assist every student in reaching his/her
potential through high quality instruction and good stewardship of community
resources.
*Foster a love for learning and build a strong foundation creating lifelong
learners in a caring community.
