About The Teacher

I am from this area and graduated from Northwood in 1995.  I moved to 
Belgium in 1996 and traveled all over Europe until my return to the United 
States in 2000. I completed my first degree, in General Studies, with 
University of Maryland, European Division in 1999 and in 2003 graduated from 
LSUS with a B.A. in Secondary Education (English). I am certified to teach 
HPE, & am a NCA certified coach.  I currently teach five 
English I classes, and one HPE Conditioning class (Pep Squad).

I am still happily married to my husband of twelve years, Steve Dix.  He is 
a MSgt in U.S.A.F., and currently working munitions at Barksdale AFB.  I 
have two daughters - Maggie, born August 18, 2005 and Georgia, born August 
29, 2006. Yes, you read it right - they are one year and 11 days apart and 
we are very BUSY!

Mission For The Class

I will use every resource and personal ability I possess in order to:

        enable each child to reach his/her full potential
        
        learn the skills necessary to succeed in English II, III, IV

        learn skills that will better prepare him/her for future careers

        cover all the curriculm set forth by CPSB
