25 Stems per week given on Monday--Test on
Friday
(no school on Friday? then test will be on

Short Story Genre
Unit for First Six Weeks of School
Most reading will be done in class; however, if not completed during class,
then students will be lugging home a HUGE literature book to finish their
reading. (Let's hope we get finished during class and save our backs.)
Concluding project for
Short Story Unit is an original short story of their own.
Students are to be working on this throughout the six weeks, hopefully
including all the elements we study in class. The elements are listed on the
grading rubric on the Welcome letter (on Handout page).
