About Me

Teaching is my passion. I have been teaching high school English, Spanish,
Drama, Speech, and Journalism since 1994, after serving in the U. S. Navy as
a Hospital Corpsman. I have taught in Arkansas and Louisiana in small rural
schools and large urban schools. I grew up in a Navy family, so I have been
bounced all over the world: from Japan to California to Rhode Island to
Florida. I am a southern boy at heart since my family comes from
Mississippi. I received my Bachelor's Degree in 1993 from Arkansas Tech
University. I have lived in Louisiana since 2000 when I attended Louisiana
Tech University where I received my Master's Degree.

My Expectations

You are responsible for:

1.	Coming to school each day.
2.	Making up all work missed during an excused absence.
3.	Getting to class on time—seated in your chair by the tardy bell.
4.	Having your textbook(s) and writing materials each day.
5.	Completing your assignments on time.
6.	Maintaining a record of your class work, homework, and test grades.
7.	Keeping your parents informed of your progress in this class.
8.	Being attentive in class.
9.	Being courteous to your classmates and teacher.
10.	Being dismissed by your teacher, not by the sound of the bell.
11.	Not distracting others during class by your actions.
12.	Leaving your desk in its proper place and your desk area clean.
13.	Conducting yourself at all times as a young lady or a young gentleman.
14.	Being a responsible member of any group of which you are a part.
15.	Not eating or drinking during class.
