A 1976 graduate of Baton Rouge High School, and a 1980 graduate of Louisiana
State University in Baton Rouge (GO TIGERS!), I have an extensive background
in the social sciences where I majored in Psychology and History. My 11
years teaching experience, with 8 years of middle school experience gives me
the ability to meet students educational needs with understanding, caring
and compassion. My goal is to provide the best teaching and learning
environment for all students, with accommodations made for individual
learning styles. Relationships will be built with all students to ensure
the best possible atmosphere is established in the classroom.
Provide background knowledge and informtion to students in all social
studies classes, particularly world geography, sociology, and psychology.
Efforts will focus on incorporating math and English / Language Arts skills
in the social studies curriculum, and promote knowledge retention in the
areas of social studies.
