I apologize for the delay in getting grades put on Ren-Web. The computer in
the classroom has a virus, and I was unable to download the program onto my
home computer. While the students are at Music and PE tomorrow, I will have
access to another classroom's computers and will add the grades then. Again,
I apologize for the delay. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone at
First Holy Communion. Thank you!
April 12, 2010
Please remember that pictures for First Communion will be Tuesday (4/13/10)
in the church.

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break. The students
had a substitute today because I am at home with the Flu. I will be out for
most of the week. I will try my best to be back at school as soon as I am
able. I will try to check my e-mail periodically over the next few days in
case there are any questions while I am out. Thank you for your continued
support and I am looking forward to a successful second half of the school
year!

A student is missing a hooded sweatshirt with the OLPS logo on the front. It
has either "Dillon" or "Dalton" written on the tag. Please check to see if
you have this sweatshirt. Thank you!!
Also, I have a boy's uniform shirt size M Youth. It doesn't have a name on
the tag.

The SE states test has been moved to next Tuesday.
A parent sent a link to me that contains games to help learn the state
capitals. I added it under "Links". Check it out!

We are having some problems with boys getting their school uniforms "mixed-
up" when they change for P.E. One student is missing a size 9 slim pant and a
magnetic belt. A size 7 pant has been turned in and needs to be claimed.
Please check your child's uniforms to see if there are any that do not belong
to them. As always, please label ALL uniforms. Thank you for your help!

STUDYING FOR TESTS: It is to your discretion as to when you want your student
to start studying for an upcoming test. I will only make it a formal
assignment to study the night before. If you would like your student to bring
home materials to study ahead of time, please make a note in their student
planner to remind them. They may bring home ANY books you would like.
August 26, 2009
Please be aware that I write homework assignments on the board everyday and
give the students ample time to write them down. I also write on the board
what to bring home. It is the students' responsibility to have what they need
to complete their homework each night. It is our goal in second grade to help
the students become more independent. I am always available to answer the
students' questions during our "pack-up" time if they need. Please let me
know if you have any questions. Thank you!
August 26, 2009
Please note that class work may be picked up for a grade in any subject at
anytime. Please talk with your student about the importance of doing their
work correctly.
August 24, 2009
On graded papers and tests, students will receive 1 point off for not putting
their name or number. Also, 1 point will be deducted for incorrectly spelling
words that are provided for them on tests.
