Kindergarten goes to the Thursday 8:00 Mass. Please have your child to school by 7:45 so that we will not be late. If you do come late, you will need to walk your child over to Church.

**All of the children are excited about the AR quizzes. This is a great way to get them ready for next year. Please encourage your child to read--(or read it to them)-- their favorite books they have at home, then bring it in for a possible AR quiz--(not all books are on the AR list). You can go to ARbookfind.com to check and see if your book is on the list. Again,none of these tests will count against them next year, so they will be able to reread these books for AR points in 1st grade.

Valentine's Day boxes are due by Monday morning. Please be sure to leave a hole in the top so cards can be dropped inside.

**Pre-K Mardi Gras parade is Thursday, February 16th at 1:45. This year your child will catch the beads instead of throwing them.

This week we will be reviewing the setting in stories.  We will also be blending phonemes together to make words.

Our high frequency words are "out" and "who"

Our letter sound for the week is "short Ee".

In Math, we will begin talking about money (pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters).

In Religion, we will read the story of John the Baptist.

Our unit of study will be Valentine's Day, and Mardi Gras.
