This is my 25th year teaching and my 21st year teaching science at Pearl
River High School. Prior to this I worked as a research chemist for a small
coatings company and for several years as a production geologist for a major
oil company.
I have both a B.S. and M.S. in Geology from the University of Michigan and
an M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction fron the University of New Orleans.
My mission for all of my classes is to have the students complete the year
with confidence in their ability to do science, an understanding of and
appreciation for science, and the ability to apply science concepts to "real-
life" situations. My goal is also to prepare my students for success in
future science classes, either in high school or college.
AP students should be able to test out of first semester college
courses, either through AP testing or the individual university's placement
testing.
