Let’s Take A Trip!
Congratulations! You have been selected as a goodwill ambassador For the United States. One-hundred and twenty teenagers from Pearl River High School will visit Hispanic cultures in the world. Your mission is to find out as much as you can about the country that you are going to visit. Although you will be awarded $6,000.00, you will have to present the selection committee with all the pertinent information regarding the budget. This should include, but not be limited to:
(This is the written presentation to the selection committee)
· Intended date(s) of your trip. (When are you going and for how long)
· Price of the trip
· Flight Information
· Hotel you will be staying
· Daily rates of hotel (and length of stay)
· Exchange rate
· Justification for the spending money (i.e. food, souvenirs, entrance fees, etc.)
Upon your return, you will also be expected to turn in your itinerary and daily diary of your trip. You will also need a map that you have drawn that shows the plane route of the entire round trip.
With the exception of the daily diary, which must be written in Spanish, you may write in English.
REMEMBER: this trip should be of CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE.
Your itinerary is a daily schedule of where you are going to go and what you are going to do on any particular day. Every day should include an activity that is of cultural or historical significance.
Your daily diary is an expansion of your itinerary where you can recall what you saw and your impressions of it.
