I was born in a small town in Kansas. They kicked me out at a young age for
not conforming to their norms. After floating around for awhile, I landed
in Louisiana. I finally graduated from the University of New Orleans at the
tender age of 36(must have been all those years in seventh grade.) My first
teaching job was here at "The Pearl" and I've never wanted to go anywhere
else. I have spent most of the last 20 years teaching Geometry. It's what I
like teaching best. I have been a carpenter for thirty five years and I
know the value of Geometry and I teach it from a practical standpoint.
My mission for this class is to 1) prepare my students for the GEE, and 2)
more importantly, prepare them for the world mathematically. This includes
having them meet deadlines, solve problems logically, be comfortable with
math, and think. I believe this class is the most practical subject taught
in this school and I approach it in that manner.
