April 30-May 4
Monday: Students will identify eating habits (good and bad) and types of foods consumed on a daily basis. students will list their favorite foods (healthy/ non-healthy)
Tues: Students will identify pars of the Daily Food Guide Pyramid and label all parts (diagram) with correct foods in each catagory
Wed: Students will identify (vocabulary) important terms of nutrition unit; complete matching exercise; draft a copy of the food guide pyramid
Thurs. Students will complete and contrast vitamins/minerals/nutrients; reveiw for the quiz
Fri. Quiz on weekly lessons
May 7-11
Mnoday: Sketch a design pattern of the Food Guide Pyramid and list all parts and catagories
Tuesday: Identify key parts of Food Pyramid and determine which foods students actually eat... students will place foods in correct catagories
Wed: Identify key foods in fast food resturants and evaluate nutritional alue
Thurs: Establish difference between good and bad eating habits and understand best practice of healthy eating.
Fri: Quiz (parts of food guide pyrmid and place of correct foods in correct catagories)
May 14-18
Review for 2nd semester exams (exams begin May 17-May 22)
