Mr. Baker graduated from the University of New Orleans where he earned his
Bachelor of General Studies. He continued his education and received his
Master of Arts in Teaching from Louisiana Tech University. Currently he is
working on his Master of Education in administration at Lamar University.
He currently teaches 1st grade at Vic Pitre Elementary in Westwego, LA. This
is Mr. Baker's fifth year at Pitre.
Prior to Vic Pitre, he was at Union Elementary in Doyline, La where he
taught 1st, 4th and 5th grades during his 2 year stay. Before Union, he was
at Frederick Douglass Elementary in Gretna, La; there he taught 1st and 3rd
grades. For a brief period before being moved to Douglass, he taught 4th and
5th grades at L.W. Ruppel in Marrero, La . His first teaching assignment
was 9th grade Special Education at his Alma Mater, Grace King High, in
Metairie, La.
He is very passionate about teaching and has high expectations for all of
his students. He truly loves all of his students.

Students shall beleive in what they can do, and strive to do their very best
at all times. Students shall also conduct themselves with respect for
themselves, their parents, their teacher(s) and their school. At the same
time, the teacher will be fair and reasonable, yet strict and shall demand
the very best from his students. We, as a class shall succeed.
