Reading- Read word list for story Meet Ben Franklin
Skills to practice-Be able to read words with long (Ee) sound.
Be able to read words with -ea, ee, e, ey.
Read story and answer questions for Meet Ben Franklin.
Language - We will continue working on types of sentences and
writing complete sentences.
Be able to identify verbs in the past and present tense.
Review proper and common nouns.
Be able to proofread sentences for mistakes.
Review contractions.
Be able to add endings ed and ing to words.
Review compound words.
Math- Chapter 8
1. Practice addition and subtraction facts from 12 or less.
2. Practice solving story problems.
3. Be able to solve problems in horizontal and vertical forms.
4. Practice telling time on the hour and half hour.
5. I do teach time around the clock. The first grade program only requires hour and half hour.
Can you take a challenge?
6. Practice counting money up to $1.00.
7. Practice making change.
8. Review fractions, 2/3, 3/4, 2/8 etc.
9. Practice counting by 2, 5 and 10's.
10. Be able to fill in a missing number-before, in middle or after a given number.
11. We have started learning the multiplication facts for the 10, 2, 5, 11 and 1 times tables.
12. Place Value-We are even working on regrouping.
Review all sheets that go home this week.
Spelling- Dictionary skills.
ABC order.
Spelling Words- knew, friends, day, main, beak, seat, keep, feed, we, me-Test Friday

Planet Earth Presentation-March 13, 2012
Ms. Johnson's Class will provide the entertainment for the PES Mardi Gras Balls. You are welcome to come and see us the week of the balls! We will be GOOD!!!! The Mardi Gras Ball schedule is attached. We will be first at all balls to dance!
