MEET THE TEACHER!
Hi!!! Welcome to 1st Grade! I am happy to have all my “little ones” this
year! We are off to a GREAT start.
Let me introduce myself and tell you a little about my family. My name is
Michele Dundas. I have been teaching for 32 years. I have taught
Kindergarten, T-1,1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I have also taught in
3 different states, Missouri, Tennessee, and Louisiana. My husband Everett
and I have been married for the past 33 years, and we have 2 children, Jason,
age 31 and Jessica, age 24. We have lived in Louisiana for the past 22
years. We transferred from Tennessee. My husband was actually born in New
Orleans but raised in New York. I was born in Kansas but grew up in Houston.
We met in college in Missouri. I love to travel, read, write, and eat!
I have an “open door” policy in my classroom. I have Career Week near the
end of the year and I will ask parents to come and share their jobs with us.
