Welcome back students and parents!This year we have a new goal for our students in speech and language therapy. There will be collaborative efforts between the SLP, other educators, and parents. We want to focus on determining if the students language based academic issues can be addressed in the regular class. We will focus on "why" the student is having problems and "how" that problem can be helped in the classroom. Also, a new approach to articulation therapy will be utilized called quick articulation. We will work with the students in classroom, or outside of classroom between 5-15 minutes several days per week. Research shows that error sounds are more quickly corrected when practiced with drills for a shorter amount of time more days per week.
