You can make Tea Cakes just like the ones I shared with you in class and just
like the ones Mrs.Flowers shared with Margurite in the memoir, " I Know Why
The Caged Bird Sings".

  Recipe for buttery tea cakes, traditional cookies made with vanilla and
butter. You can change vanilla to almond and add sprinkles for decoration. Be
safe, have fun and bring some for the class!

Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
•	1 cup butter
•	2 cups sugar
•	2 large eggs
•	2/3 cup milk
•	2 teaspoons vanilla
•	4 cups flour

Preparation:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla;
mix well. Stir in flour; refrigerate until chilled and easier to handle. Roll
out on a floured board to 1/2-inch thick, adding more flour if necessary. Cut
into shapes; place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about
10 minutes.
