Weekly Overview:

Unit Description: In
this thematic unit on decision, actions, and consequences, the students will
understand the connection between decisions and consequences and how these
impact their life experiences and identity. Unit instruction will focus on
literary analysis, which includes reading and responding to novels and shorter
fiction works. Writing instruction will focus on constructed responses,
paragraphs and multi-paragraph compositions. Vocabulary instruction will be
based on contextual use of words.

can consequences promote positive change?

are my actions influenced by my decisions?

do my decisions and actions demonstrate my courage?
