School rule, regulations and procedures set forth in the Parish handbook
and
the Salmen agenda book.
Students are to come prepared every day for classwork.
Students are expected to learn and follow procedures set forth to
establish
and maintain an effective, safe and pleasant learning environment for all
students. Which are the following:
1. Be on time and seated begin bellwork
2. Be prepared at all time
3. Be courteous to others, Keep hands and feet to yourself
4. No eating or drinking in class
5. No bathroom passes.
Consequences.
1. Warning
2. Detention after school (1 hour after school)
3. Referred to office depending on the offense or after first detention.
Bellwork will be assigned daily at the beginning of the period. This work
will be scored as part fo the daily participation grade.
It is the responsibility of each student to take notes during class and from
assigned resource material, such as the text, internet, etc.
Students are to engage in a two-phase study approach daily: complete class
and homework assignments And STUDY all notes and material to develop a
undrstanding of subject material. This approach provides students with
background necessary to be more critical thinkers and more aggressive
problem
solvers.
Studens are to use agenda books and/or notebooks to record assignments and
test requirements and due dates. Failure to make such notations or to read
them is not grounds for extending the dates for assignments or for tests.
All work is to be turned in by the due dated. To develop responsibility in
our students and to support daily work habits, no late work will be
accepted.
All classwork and test are to be made up within TWO days of returning to
class after an excused absence. Extended illnesses necessitate a meeting
between the student, parent, and teacher in order to estabilish a schedule
for make-up work and tests.
