Lecciones de espanol II

 

La semana del 15 al 19 de septiembre

Objective: 

Students will practice all of the ar, er, ir verbs learned in preparation for a comprehensive verb quiz ( Monday 22nd).  Students will review question words and practice asking and answering both "yes or no", and "information" questions.  Students will also practice negating sentences in Spanish.

Weekly Overview:

 

Unit Description: New vocabulary: more regular –ar verbs. We will continue to practice regular –ar, -er, and –ir verbs in the present tense. Students will play games and do activities which will enable them to utilize their newly learned verb vocabulary. Games and activities which incorporate acting, illustrating, speaking, and creative writing will be used to facilitate the comprehension and the conjugations of present tense verbs . There will be a strong focus on subject- verb agreement. We will also begin to review article- noun- adjective agreement.

 

 

 

 

Objectives:

Introduce and practice new vocabulary: more –ar verbs.

Continue practice of matching subject to verb endings (conjugation)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Continue previous objective.

Begin review of article- noun-adjective agreement.

 

Student Learning Activities:

 

 

 

Copy new vocab list.

Practice pronouncing new verbs.

Class discussion and sharing of vocabulary learning/ retention strategies.

Play Cherades/ Pictionary while students guess the Spanish verb being acted or drawn.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Review verb conjugations.

Show article- noun-adjective agreement.

Begin "frases locas" activity.

Students will work in groups to create 10 crazy sentences which they will later illustrate and present to the class.

Their sentences must contain a variety of subjects and verbs as well as other nouns, adjectives and prepositional phrases (trying to enhance the silliness of their sentences)

Continue group work on "frases locas"

Play vocab pictionary/ charades with teams.

Students will begin to present their ‘frases locas" along with their illustrations to the class.

Students will also write their sentences on the board and the class will make corrections if necessary.

Play vocab Bingo with new vocab. And or "around the world"

Vocab quiz

Continue "frases locas" presentations.

 

 

Homework:

Begin studying new vocab.

Work on silly sentences and illustrations.

Continue to study new vocabulary

Finish silly sentences illustrations ( be sure to make them colorful!)

Study new vocab.

la semana del 25 al 29 de agosto

Objective:   Students will review and pracitce regular -er and -ir verbs in the present tense (both meanings and conjugations).

                    Students will practice numbers and learn number related vocab. ( i.e. asking how much something costs, basic math terminology in Spanish, telephone #'s, ordinal numbers, etc...)

                    Students will continue practicing how to formulate information questions using question words and verbs.  They will also learn how to formulate Yes or No questions in Spanish.

lunes:    1.Check homework sheets from last week while students correct their own papers

              2. Introduce and practice pronouncing new vocab. ( -er and -ir regular verbs)

              3. Call on different students to act out or illustrate verbs while others guess

              4. Finish "entrevistas" presentations from last week.

             Tarea: begin to study new vocab.  and Finish the er/ ir part of their conjugation packets

martes:   1.  verb Cherades and pictionary

                2. Verb conjugation Bingo with er, ir verbs

                3.  Practice with numbers and learn number related vocab.

                 4. Teach students how to play "pica, firme, nada" number game and play quick practice round

                 Tarea:  # sheet and study vocab.

miercoles: 1. Put into small groups and explain and demonstrate "silly sentence activity"  Then have each group formulate 10 sentences, 5 normal and 5 silly ones.  They will be using the new -er, and -ir verbs as well as previously learned -ar ones.

                   Tarea:  Each student will choose one normal sentence and one silly one and illustrate each.  Also continue studying weekly vocab.

 

jueves:    1.  Have students share crazy sentences and illustrations  to class.  Conduct a vote in Spanish to determine the best silly sentence and illustration.

                Tarea:  tudy for vocab quiz

viernes:   1.  Take vocab quiz #3

                 2.  play # games ( real Bingo)      

 

 

 

 

la semana del 18 al 22 de agosto

Objective:  Students will review and practice regular -ar verbs in the present tense (both meanings and conjugations).

                   Students will also review and practice question words in Spanish.

                   Students will be able to conduct an interview with another student in Spanish.  They will then introduce their new friend to the rest of the class entirely in Spanish.

                  Students will play games in the target language in order to practice vocabulary and conjugation.

Lunes:  1.  Introduce and practice -ar verb vocabulary and -ar present tense endings

              2. Play conjugation bean bag toss to practice subject- verb agreement.

             3.  Have class practice pronouncing interview questions.  Explain how to report the information about their new friend using 3rd person.

              4. Have students work in pairs .  Each student will interview and take notes about their partner ( entirely in Spanish).

              5.  Explain and demonstrate "Tarea" ( homework).  Write a report ( in 3rd person) about the person you interviewed.

Martes:  1.  Give students a card with 2- 3 vocab. verbs as they enter the class.  Students must either act out or draw clues while classmates try to guess their verb.  (Cherades/ Pictionary)

              2.  Distribute blank spreadsheets for interview activity.

              3. Students will take turn introducing their new friend to the class ( speaking entirely in Spanish) while fellow classmates keep track of all info about each student on a spreadsheet.

              4.  Tarea- study verb vocabulary list and -ar verb conjugation.

Miercoles:  1. Play more verb cherades/pictionary.

                   2. Finish Interview activity.

                   3.  Tarea:  Choose 5 trouble verbs and illustrate them on notecards

Jueves:  1.  Collect Tarea and  Finish interviews

               2.  Play verb conjugaion Bingo.

               3.  Tarea:  study all ar verbs from your vocabulario list.

Viernes  1. Take verb quiz.

               2.  play interview questions game (chain reaction)

              3.  Finish interview activity
