BELOW IS A LIST OF MY GRADING POLICY:
HOMEWORK/CLASSWORK:--Each chapter the students shall be assigned the
vocabulary and guided reading worksheets/ a list of questions to be answered
for that chapter. When all the material is covered in class, a notebook
check will be given to ensure that all work is complete.
NOTE: I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHECK THE WORK AT ANYTIME IF I
FEEL THAT THE STUDENTS ARE NOT BEING RESPONSIBLE IN TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE
TIME I GIVE THEM TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT.
We will have periodic current events due for Civics. It will be a 25 pt.
grade and it must be Civics related. They will be due on a Friday.
PROJECTS: Projects will be assigned at least once a semester where and will
be worth at least one test grade.
TESTS:--At the conclusion of each chapter there will be a 100 point test to
test for mastery of that chapter.
EXAM:--A 9 weeks exam will be given covering all material discussed in the
grading period. It will count as 20% of the overall grade.
Their average will be based on a weighted grading system with the following
weights being assigned to each activity:
