Announcements

Students need to study some every day. I offer tutoring every
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. ACT practice worksheets are due on
Friday.

This year I am using the Parish Guaranteed curriculum for Geometry and the
State Comprehensive curriculum for Algebra II. Both are excellent for
getting the students more involved in classroom activities and relating
algebra to solving real-world problems.

There will be class projects and well as outside projects to be completed
that will use the algebra concepts. Some textbook and worksheet homework
will be assigned as well. Several times per week we will be reviewing
material for standardized testing (GEE 21 and ACT/SAT)

Due to the nature of the class activities, students should make every effort
to be in class as it is often more difficult do the activities as make up
work. However, when absences are necessary, students are to discuss work
with me as soon as possible upon returning to school. Makeup work is
the student’s responsiblility and will only be allowed for an excused
absence within 3 days of returning to school.
