by the selection committee. To retain their provisional memberships, they
must continue to uphold and "demonstrate an outstanding record of conduct and
behavior with regard to school and community rules, guidelines, and policies."
Any changes to conduct or academic performance will be grounds for dismissal
from the organization. Provisional members must also attend a majority of
meetings and provide advance notice of absences from meetings.

The following seniors have met the requirements for admission to Salmen’s
chapter of the National Honor Society: Kristi B, Shannon F,
Joshua F, Carol G, William J, Tyler L, Franchesca
L, Lindsay M, Scarlet R, Kristi S, Andrew T, and
Shelly W. Qualified students are invited to join at the end of their junior
and senior years of high school. The organization recognizes students who
have exhibited excellence in scholastic achievement, leadership, service,
and character during their high school years. Once students become members,
they must retain an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher, attend regular
meetings, and complete a service requirement during the school year.
Election for this year’s officers will be held in Nancy Pearson’s room on
Thursday, September 11 at 7:15 am.

Activities: Creating cement wall art. We are still in the process of
completing our fundraiser. We will need volunteers to finish the molds. When
we finish casting, we will begin painting. School beautification and community
clean-up.
