This is my 23rd year to teach at Shreve Island, so you know I love this
school! I teach the Wonder Kids in second grade in Room 15, and I'm VERY
excited to be working with this group! What a year of growth, discovery, and
leadership we have in store for us!
Let me tell you about myself. I have undergraduate degrees from Trinity
University in San Antonio and LSU-S, a M.Ed. from Centenary, and an
Educational Specialist degree from LSU-Baton Rouge. I received my National
Board Certification in 2002. I definitely think learning new things is fun!
My husband's name is Paul and we live with our very talented miniature
schnauzer, Chloe. I have four grown children. Alyson and Hardy live in
Shreveport with our grandson Benjamin, and his twin sisters Kate and
Sarah Margaret. Kristen loves living in Arlington, TX and working with an
office supply wholesaler. Lauren and her boyfriend live here in Shreveport,
but her sales territory is the northeastern U.S. Jeff works with an oil well
servicing company and he and his bride Katherine, an attorney, live in
Shreveport, as well.
The goal for our classroom is to build a community of leaders and discovery
learners who strive to bring their best to school each day and to prepare for
a successful future.
