I am a longtime resident of St.Tammany Parish and have lived in the same
area -- Community of St.Tammany for most of my life. I love living in this
rural area and could not imagine living any where else. I have been married
for 38 years to John. Together we are the proud parents of 6 children and 5
grandchildren :) All of whom live in the area or close by.
I enjoy reading,especially Historical Fiction and Suspense Novels. Most
weekends are spent hanging-out at home with my husband and large family!
Sixth Ward Elementary School is my 2nd HOME. I started out at SWE as a
substitute teacher many years ago when my own children were students here. I
later became a Para educator and worked a short time at another area school
as a Title One Tutor.
I was given the opportunity to come back to SWE as a Para educator
and worked in a variety of positions including PEI, MAE and IN-House
Suspension. All this time I was working on my dream of becoming a certified
teacher. After taking a short time off to complete my Bachelor of Arts in
Education at Southeastern Louisiana University I returned to Sixth Ward
Elementary as a Third Grade teacher :) I love working and teaching at Sixth
Ward Elementary. I feel like I have truly come HOME!
