WELCOME TO FOURTH GRADE

PARENTS
IF YOUR CHILD HAS A CELL PHONE WITH APP CAPABILITY - WHY NOT DOWNLOAD SOME FUN MATH GAMES THAT WOULD HELP THEM WITH MATH FACTS.  PARENTS NEED TO MONITOR THEIR CHILD'S PHONE AND MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO INAPPROPRIATE THINGS TAKING PLACE ON IT.  

  We are now in the 3rd. Nine Weeks, and the Leap test is fast approaching!  We are starting the "Buckle Down" series which reviews all areas covered in Math and Language Arts.  Each day we will spend time reviewing and writing answers in the Buckle Down books.  Each student needs to be present so they don't miss any important lessons.



  Make sure to check out this website each week to learn what we will be doing and your assignments for the week.


PARENTS - Make sure you check your child's DAILY FOLDER each night. They should have the list of spelling words, Reading vocabulary words, and a copy of the homework sheet. It is vital that they do the assigned homework in order to help them review what they've learned in class.

Each week you should check in at this website to see what our class will be learning.  It will also contain your homework assignments for the week. 

LEAP TEST INFORMATION
It is critically important for you to understand that, regardless of the grades you earn during the 4th. grade year, you MUST score at or above the passing level on the LEAP test in English Language Arts AND Mathematics to be promoted to the 5th. grade The passing level for 4th. grade is defined as a score of Basic or above in either English Language Arts or Math AND a minimum of Approaching Basic on the other section.
