I have been teaching at Slidell High School for the past 35 years. I am a
former Slidell High School graduate. I graduated with a Bachelor's
degree in Social Studies Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. I
have taught all of the Social Studies courses at one time or another. My
favorite course is Free Enterprise followed by Civics and then Law and
Order. In the summer I teach an online Free Enterprise class for St. Tammany
Parish School
Board. I am married to a wonderful man and have a son who was born with six
birth defects that left him both mentally and physically challenged. He
attended Slidell High for many years and currently attends the STARC
center. He is the meaning of love and is a great part of our lives. He
loves music, fishing and riding.
I hope my students enjoy my class as much as I enjoy teaching my subject
matter to them. It is my hope that not only will they learn from me, but
that I will learn from them as well.
To prepare my students to meet the challenge of a rapidly changing society
with global economic situations. For them to make better choices not
only in economic matters, but also in their day to day lives.
