Mrs. Bostick is a graduate of Slidell High and the University of New
Orleans, having received a B.A. in Foreign Language Education. She has
traveled extensively and studied abroad in Costa Rica, Mexico and Spain. She
has been teaching for 16 years.
Mrs. Bostick is married and has three children.
She also works at the Slidell Athletic Club as a cycling instructor.
She looks forward to getting to know you and fostering in you an appreciation
for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture.
In addition to basic grammar and vocabulary, the student will also be
exposed to the geography and culture of the Hispanic world. At the end of
the year the student will be able to have a basic conversation in Spanish
and describe various customs and holidays.
Topics include: describing self and others, family, food, pastimes,
clothes, shopping, weather, travel, vacationing, house, chores, body,
illness, Hispanic people and countries, day of the dead, cinco de mayo,
tapas, types of dances, artists and the siesta.
