BUG BUSINESS

This week in reading, students will be reading "ANNIE'S GIFT." There will be
a test on Friday.
I am not sending home Scholastic Book orders this month because of the
Library Book Fair.
Students need to remember that if they bring home one of my Books in a
Bag, they need to return it the next day, whether they are finished or not.
Then they can continue independent reading at school. (KEEP IN BINDERS SO IT
CAN TRAVEL WITH THEM!) For independent reading,when they finish reading a
book, they are to write the title, author and genre on their Reading Log(in
reading pocket.) The students are doing well keeping their own Reading Logs.
I AM VERY PROUD OF THIS. This helps them remember to take an AR test and keep
you and me informed of what they are reading AND SCORES OF TESTS.
We will begin Unit 2 in Social Studies, Our Earth. The test on this Unit 2
will be next Tuesday. Please be working on landform models and reports. They
are due this Wednesday, Feb.8.
Next Thursday, Feb. 16 we will be going on a fieldtrip to the La. State
Exhibit Museum for a tour and a play by Shreveport Green called "If Trees
Could Talk." Then we will go to the Barnwell Center for lunch and a tour.
Please return permission slips.
