I have been teaching since 1999. I graduated from Louisiana Tech University
in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology. I worked in the
hospital for 3 years before I decided to go back to school and become a
school teacher. I started teaching science at a very small private school
and worked my way to Southwood. I have been at Southwood since 2001 where I
teach Biology I, Biology II, and Microbiology. In 2008 I was given the
responsibility of being Southwood High School's Biotechnology Magnet
Coordinator. This summer I finished my Masters in Education Leadership and
also completed my Plus 30 in education. I am very dedicated to my school and
to our program.
Noone is perfect!!! We must understand that in order to move forward we will
make mistakes, our goal should be to learn from from those mistakes so we
will not make the same ones again.
