RELIGION
Text: Who Am I?
Who Am I is a Catholic religion curriculum for children from three years old
to kindergarten age. The program is centered on a new approach found in the
writings and teachings of Pope John Paul II. This approach stresses the
dignity of each individual as a person made in the image of God.
READING
Text: Beginning to Read, Write and Listen (Pleasant T. Rowland, Laidlaw
Educational Publishers)
This program integrates reading and handwriting, as well as auditory and
oral language development. It is a multi-sensory program that provides the
students with visual, kinesthetic, and auditory learning experiences.
MATH
Text: Math Advantage (Harcourt Brace & Company)
This series teaches students basic Math concepts such as: sorting and
classifying, patterns, numbers, graphing, money, time, basic addition and
subtraction, etc.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Time Magazine for Kids
SCIENCE
Text: teacher-created units
Basic science and social studies themes are explored throughout the year.
SPANISH
The students will attend Spanish once a week for 30 minutes.The Spanish teacher is Lindsay Giusti.
LIBRARYKindergarten students will attend Library once a week for 30 minutes.
Kindergartners do not check out library books. The school librarian is Savanna Carter.
MUSIC
Kindergarten students will attend Music class twice a week for 30 minutes.
The Music teacher is Greg Tanner.
P.E.
Kindergarten students will attend P.E. twice a week for 30 minutes. The P.E.
teacher is Jean Murphy.
