ABSENCES
Parents need to call the office before 9:00 a.m. to report an absence and to request that books, class work, and handouts be sent to the office. These items will only be available for pickup between 3:05 and 3:30 p.m. Materials will not be available for pick up before this time and will not be packed up if the office was not notified by 9:00.
Homework assignments may be accessed through the teachers’ websites at www.scrschool.org.
The students will have the same number of days absent due to an illness to make up missed assignments. Make up tests will be given once a week after school on a designated day.
LOCKERS
5th -7th grade students will be assigned lockers. The only lock that is allowed to be used is one purchased through school. The combination is not to be given to anyone except your teacher and a designated student (in case of an absence). Specific times will be given during the day to go to your locker or with permission from a teacher. Conduct points will be deducted if a student needs to go to the locker for materials not brought to class. Lockers are to be kept neat and orderly, and may be inspected by administration without prior notice.
SNACK/BREAK
Middle school students have a mid-morning 5 minute break and are allowed to have a simple snack. Please bring something healthy! Fruit, dry cereal, and snack bars are great choices. Clear bottled water with twist tops only are allowed to be used with the teacher’s discretion.
