Homework is a valuable part of the learning process and is a NECESSITY for becoming competent and successful in Math. It is one of the most useful tools used to reinforce the skills and concepts taught in the classroom.
Homework will be checked daily and is counted as a quiz grade for each quarter. It is worth 100 points, and each incomplete assignment will result in a five point deduction. Partial credit may be given if at least half of the assignment is completed. It is understandable that a student may experience some difficulty while completing the work at home, but the student must show some effort to have worked out all of the problems.
Homework will be assigned daily (Monday-Friday) during the week. The assignment will be written on the board and posted on the homework website. Each student is responsible for copying the assignment in their daily agenda. The written assignment in the book is the correct assignment. (Sometimes what may be posted on the website early during the day might change without having time to update it on the site during the remainder of the school day). You still must check the homework site as important reminders are posted there also as well as assignments.
