opportunity for
student responses. The school wide Religion theme for
this year is

READING AND LANGUAGE

Text: Math (Harcourt)
Individual units develop mathematical ideas fro each of
the following areas:
Number and Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement,
and Data Analysis and
Probability. Math concepts from these areas are taught
through hands-on activities
and manipulatives used in centers.
SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES
Text: Teacher-created units. Basic science and social
studies themes are explored
throughout the year often in correlation with letters
being studied and according to
Louisiana Dept. of Education Grade Level
Expectations.
LIBRARY
PK 4 students attend Library once a week for 30
minutes.
. Preschoolers do not
check out library books.
SPANISH
PK 4 students will attend Spanish class once a
week.
The Spanish teacher is Mrs. Lindsay Guisti.
MUSIC
PK 4 students will attend Music class once a
week.
P.E.
PK 4 students will attend P.E. twice a week for 30
minutes.
The P.E. teacher is Mrs. Jean Murphy.
