Welcome to St. Clement
of Rome's Pre-Kindergarten! I look forward to guiding and nurturing your
preschooler spiritually and academically throughout this year. If I can assist
you at any time
concerning your child, please feel free to contact
me.
In order that our school year runs smoothly, here are a few
guidlines that we ask you to follow:
SCR
FOLDERS
Folders should be checked
daily and returned the next school day. Please look over the work that has been
done that day. Parental interest is important in the learning development of
your child. All notices will be sent home in this
folder.
LUNCH
Your child may buy a hot lunch or
bring his/her lunch. We request that your child use a lunch box lableled with
his/her name if they choose to bring a lunch from. home. Lunch will be served
daily in the cafeteria. Payment of lunches is a debit system. A notice will be
sent home from the cafeteria when additional funds are needed in your
child's lunch account. If your child is bringing their lunch from home, milk
can be purchased from the cafeteria with available funds from their lunch
account. Monthly lunch menus are posted
on SCR cafeteria
website.
SNACKS
Your child will
have a regular snack time every day. Snacks should be quick,
nutritious
finger foods that do not make a mess (please, no pudding or fruit
cups). Suggested
snacks include cheerios, fresh fruit, crackers,
cheese.
Please place snacks in a baggie or paper bag with your child's
name clearly marked.
Pack the snack separate from your child's lunch if they
are bringing lunch from home.
REPORT
CARDS
Report cards will be issued in January after the
completion of the first semester and again at the end of the school year. These
reports reflect your child's progress in work
habits, readiness skills, and
social development.
PARENT/TEACHER
CONFERENCES
Parent/teacher conferences are held twice a
year. Each appointment is scheduled for
10 minutes. If additional time is
needed, we can arrange to meet again at a later date.
Also, before each SCR
Co-Op Meeting at 7:00 pm teachers will be available for
conferences. followed by Co-Op Genereal Meeting at 7:30
pm
ALL SCHOOL MASS
Parents are invited
to join us and sit with your child. When facing the altar, Pre-K sits on
the
far right side by the baptismal font. Check the SCR calendar for the
dates.
MISSION MONEY AND FEED THE
HUNGRY
Mission money is collected throughout the year.
Please place any donations in an
envelope marked
"Missions".
Non-perishable food items are collected the first Wednesday of
the month for
Feed the Hungry.
BOOK
ORDERS
Book order forms will be sent home monthly. If you
wish to purchase the books, please
send a check payable to Firefly and return
in an envelope by the deadline
given.
HEALTH
Children who are ill
should not attend school. In the event of a a communicable disease
the
parent should notify the school as to the nature of the specific
disease.
A signed note from a physician my be required before a child can
be re-admitted to
school after a communicable
disease.
REST TIME
Your child will have a
regular rest time everyday. All mats will be sent home on Fridays to be washed
and returned on the next school
day.
